The two connectors that connect the engine harness to the main harness have a bad reputation for causing hard to find intermittent problems. I don't think I was having an issue with mine, but I decide to make sure I would never have a problem. If the connector is not there, it can not go bad. I cut them out and soldered all the wires back together. Any future problems have been averted and less clutter in the engine compartment. A win win I would say.
